Last year's Harvest Festival ("Dožínky”) at CZU Farm Estates, which was the premiere event in the modern history of CZU, was a success, thanks to you, everyone who joined us and celebrated the harvest with us. We appreciate your favour and are pleased that the Harvest Festival at CZU Farm Estates is becoming a tradition.

The Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences succeeded in the prestigious international competition in the ERA Chairs call of the Horizon Europe programme with its project HIVE: Centre for Biological Invasions in Forests. CZU therefore became one of the five Czech institutions that this year managed to obtain this grant in competition with 158 other proposals, and thus helped to place the Czech Republic in second place, just behind Portugal, in the informal competition of EU member states in the number of successful projects in this call. 

On Thursday, 13th June 2024, another member of the academic community of the Czech University of Life Sciences received the appointment decree authorizing the use of the title of professor from the hands of the President of the Republic in Prague's Karolinum. Fresh professor Jan Malaťák heads the Department of Technological Equipment of Buildings of the Faculty of Engineering and received his highest academic degree at the CZU Scientific Board's suggestion in the Energetics field. Hearty congratulations!

As part of the Faculty of Economics and Management graduation ceremony, the Minister of Agriculture Award was presented for an excellent Master´s thesis contributing to practice in agriculture, nature conservation, landscape, and natural resources. One work from each faculty was awarded.
