CZU at Země živitelka 2026: A Smart Landscape for the Future and Cities Fit to Live in Even in Summer

On the opening day of the international Země živitelka agricultural fair, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague is presenting a topic that has long been central to its work. At its stand in Pavilion T, visitors can discover the latest version of the “Smart Landscape” concept, this time tailored to regions affected by mining in the Karlovy Vary and Sokolov areas. They can also learn how urban buildings and their roofs can be adapted to climate change at a time when cities can resemble blazing furnaces on hot summer days.

From a firefighting robot to smart solutions for cities and the countryside to sustainable cosmetics. This year at Země živitelka, CZU will present projects that showcase the wide range of topics the university addresses and, above all, how its research translates into practical solutions.

Point One Presents Three Sustainable Projects at Země živitelka 2026

As part of CZU’s presentation at the Země živitelka agricultural fair, taking place from 20 to 25 August 2026, the university’s business incubator Point One will introduce three projects: Hyfo aroma diffusers, the Svět hmyzu insect farm, and the TexAgrona project.

CZU Winery wins six gold medals, including two Grand Golds, at the Czech national wine competition

The National Wine Competition has opened this year’s season with the evaluation of wines from the Bohemia wine region. CZU Winery achieved an excellent result, taking home two Grand Gold Medals for its 2023 Pinot Blanc and 2025 Riesling. Four additional Gold Medals were awarded to the winery’s 2022 Pinot Blanc, 2025 Müller Thurgau, 2022 Riesling, and 2025 Pinot Blanc. This year´s National Wine Competition champion in Bohemia is the 2023 Riesling from Vondrák Winery in Měln?ík.
