BSc study programmes combine theoretical subjects with the applied ones as well as practical training in the associated disciplines. They last three years, consist of general compulsory subjects forming the students educational portfolio, which is further augmented by compulsory-optional as well as optional subjects, depending on the student’s personal interests. Special attention is paid to practical trainings in well-equipped, modern laboratories where students can bring their theoretical knowledge into practice and prove it by their own experiments. Students work in multinational teams which provides them with invaluable benefit of peer teaching. The study is completed with the defence of the BSc thesis during the BSc degree state examination.
BSc level students have the option to advance to their MSc degree study programmes or to gain employment immediately after their BSc graduation in governmental and non-governmental organisations, SMEs or in other national or international companies.
All of the study programmes conform to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Students are encouraged to participate in exchange programmes at other European Universities (e.g. Erasmus+ programme). Credits obtained at other European universities within exchange programmes are accepted as equivalent to credits in respective study plans at CZU.
The following programmes are fully taught in English by Czech lecturers, visiting international professors from our EU partner universities and international doctoral or post-doctoral staff. This is why a good command of English is essential. Native English speakers as well as non-native English speakers including Czech students can participate in these programmes without restrictions. Erasmus students are especially welcome to participate.
