On October 10, 2024, the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources at Czech University of Life Sciences Prague hosted 46 students from 10 high schools. The excursion showcased our 18 bachelor's programs, ranging from agrobiology and food science to natural resources.
Excursion Program:
- Introductory presentation on study options
- Meteorology and climatology (Ing. Luboš Türkott, Ph.D.)
- "Soil Detectives" workshop (Assoc. Prof. Ing. Martin Kulhánek, Ph.D.)
- Lecture in English "How Plants Live" (Dr. Theresa Reinhardt Piskáčková)
- "Judge with All Senses! How Science Tastes" (Ing. Renata Kunstová and Ing. Anežka Kopecká)
Student Feedback:
"The meteorology lecture was perfectly delivered by the presenter," one participant evaluated. Another student said about the English part of the program: "It was great to try if I could handle a lecture in English. It gave me confidence for potentially studying English programs." The "Judge with All Senses" activity received high ratings.
International Perspective:
Students from EU countries can study our English programs for only 500 EUR per year (12,500 CZK), opening doors to affordable, quality education with a global reach.
